AL-MUNTAQIM (The Supreme Torturer of the Guilty for Justice) Part 1

FEAR BECAUSE OF ALLAH, BRAVE BECAUSE OF ALLAH

The word “Muntaqiim” (singular) is not found in the Al-Qur’an, but what is found is “Muntaqiimun” (in plural) 3 times. The origin of the word Muntaqiim is naqama, which means “reject”, “against”, “deny” or “blame something”. Ibn Faris says that intaqam has the meaning “to deny and oppose an action that ends with reciprocating it”.

Allah Al-Muntaqim is the Almighty One who acts on His guilty servants with torture. He does not like evil deeds so he repays him with punishment. Muntaqiim is not interpreted as “avenger”, because this meaning is impossible for Allah. Glory be to Allah from the attitude of revenge that shows weakness and suffers because of the actions of certain creatures.

God’s punishment for people who do evil and despicable is His promise. Likewise rewards for the doers of good and good deeds. Because He is the one who has power over all creatures. “And to Allah belongs what is in the heavens and what is in the earth so that He may repay those who do evil for what they have done and reward those who do good with the best reward ( heaven)”.
