On Friday, December 4, 2020, the Ariosan Foundation team set off from their headquarters in Wilis St. heading to An-Nur 2 Islamic Boarding School Malang to distribute the Quran relief. The number of quran to be distributed is around 3500 pieces. The type of quran to be distributed is the white-covered quran with Indonesian translation. One set of quran consists of eight books divided by chapters, so it is easier for the readers to carry it anywhere according to which part they want to read.

This quran relief distribution is sponsored by donors, one of them is from Australia, under the name of Sadaqa Welfare Fund, which Ariosan Foundation has collaborated with for years. This charity event aimed to provide quran for students of An-Nur 2 Islamic Boarding School.

The event was started at around midday, after Friday prayer. Before the students went back to their dormitories, they are asked to gather for a moment due to this event. After a forewords or two by the An-Nur 2 Islamic Boarding School Malang party as well as from the representative of Ariosan Foundation, the quran distribution was then held. The students are asked to line up and the handing in session began.

“Hopefully, the quran would be beneficial for all of us, not only the reader, but also the listener. More than that, we do also hope for the best for all muslims and human beings on earth. Learning quran doesn’t mean only reading or memorizing it, but every verse in it should be comprehended, should be understood. That way, we all can practice the teachings, values, and knowledge it carries. By comprehending it, it would also be more easier to share and spread the right teachings to other people. This is the only way we as a muslim can revive the struggle of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him),” said Alvi, the representative of Ariosan Foundation in her speech expressing gratitude to all donors, as well as conveying some messages for the students receiving the endowment.

After the event ends, the team from Ariosan Foundation went back to the office, hoping something beyond a restful night, but for an easy path later on in the Day of Judgment.
May Allah always guide and love us all.
Allah a’lam bi ash-shawab.
