Pray for Merapi

Merapi is one of the most active volcanoes in Indonesia and the volcano activity is already at the second highest alert level in the country. Mount Merapi which has 2,963 meters (9,721 feet) talls located on the Indonesian island of Java erupted on Wednesday, January 27th 2021 creating an ash cloud and prompting authorities to warn of the risk of lava flows reaching its roads. Kasbani, the head of Indonesia’s volcanology and geological hazard mitigation center, said that Merapi had spewed “quite intense” hot clouds at least 30 times since Wednesday (01/27) morning and the local authority warned  the lava could cut the road near the volcano eruption.
