If this is my last Ramadan

So please help me to write gold ink

In the long history of my life

In walking through your beautiful Ramadan

Every year…

If this is my last Ramadan

So make, every time that I go through these 30 days

Be the best of times

What I’ve been through in my life

 

Yaa Rabb…

If this is my last Ramadan

So make shaum what I do this time

Being a shaum that I don’t only fulfil for reasons of carrying out obligations

But it can also make me a pious person

And also not only my stomach that I smell

But also smell my whole soul and body

So that blessings come to everything that is in me

 

Yaa Rabb…

If this is my last Ramadan

So make every number of rak’ahs in my fard and sunnah prayers

Become a rak’ah that I don’t just do to want you to see my worship

But it can also lead me to stay away from Your prohibitions

And carry out your every command

It can also prevent me from truly vile and evil deeds

 

Yaa Rabb…

If this is my last Ramadan

So make every prayer that I pray to You

Become the most beautiful chant of prayer that I have ever asked you

Not just a prayer of hope from a poor person like me

But it can also be a door for me to enter your Jannah

 

Yaa Rabb…

If this is my last Ramadan

So make every page after page of Your holy book that I read

Becoming a recitation that doesn’t just reach my target in Your blessed month

But it can also guide me on the path of Your light

So that I can always istiqomah on Your straight path

 

Yaa Rabb…

If this is my last Ramadan

So make every breath that I exhale

Be my breath of gratitude to You

For all the blessings and gifts that you always give me

 

Yaa Rabb…

If this is my last Ramadan

So make tahajjud that I do every night

Be the most beautiful qiyamullail in my whole life

Please make me a person who is always humble in every long prostration

And wishing you a little blessing for my Ramadan

 

Yaa Rabb…

If this is my last Ramadan

So make my tarawih in your glorious month

Become the most potent tarawih I’ve ever done

Because I can do it with complete sincerity

And don’t expect praise from those around you

 

Yaa Rabb…

If this is my last Ramadan

So make it my last ten days of this Ramadan

Be the most beautiful last ten days

In the long history of my Ramadan journey so far

Give me a chance to be able to do ‘tikaf solemnly

Even if it’s only a night or two at your house

But it gives a wonderful impression on my heart

If this is my last Ramadan

So make every infaq and charity that I practice

Be a sincere pious practice that I can do with complete sincerity

It doesn’t make me proud in front of other people

But can provide an example of the virtues of shodaqoh

 

Yaa Rabb…

For the last,

If this is my last Ramadan

So bless my age until my death

Make every breath, step step, word, and every action I take

Be the best of me

For everything I’ve done so far

And don’t forget to ask

For You also forgive all the sins and stains that I have ever done

 

Help me carve out an achievement in your glorious month

So if it’s true this is my last Ramadan

Then there will be a sliver of pride that I can offer

To my parents, family, and also all my friends
