Here are four pieces of advice for those who are anxious and afraid of death.
First, the anxious person should increase his wudhu, and eliminate anxious thoughts during ablution.
Second, the person must also keep the prayer on time and not pay attention to the anxious person in prayer.
Third, it is better for people who are anxious and afraid of death to also read verses of the Koran every day.
Fourth, the person must also recite dhikr “لا إله إلا الله ولا نعبد إلا إياه”
which means “There is no god but Allah and we worship none but Him”. The dhikr can be read as much as 1,000 to 10 thousand times every day, and remains istiqomah for a month.
However, if you are not able to read that much dhikr, you can read Surah Al Baqarah every day. He also quoted the hadith of the Prophet Muhammad, he said:
الشيطان جاثم على قلب ابن آدم فإذا ذكر الله خنس وإذا غفل وسوس له “Satan lives in the hearts of the children of Adam, when humans remember Allah, Satan hides, but if he is negligent, he spreads misgivings.”
If the anxious thoughts do not go away after carrying out the four pieces of advice, then the person should go to a psychiatrist.
