Every person has a workload that needs to be completed. The burdens may vary, but they are equally challenging.
There is no burden that is not heavy. However, it does not mean it cannot be carried. When someone is able to bear the weight of their life’s burdens, that is what is called “capability”.
What’s special in Islam is that burdens and capabilities are matched. It means that no burden exceeds a person’s capability. Allah says,
“And We charge no soul except [with that within] its capacity, and with Us is a record which speaks with truth; and they will not be wronged.” [Quran, Surah Al-Mu’minun (23): 62]
The above verse brings glad tidings to us all. Because Allah, the Most Compassionate and Merciful, will never burden a servant beyond their capability. Therefore, when faced with the burdens of life, the first thing to do is to have good thoughts about Allah.
Good thoughts will lighten the burden from the very beginning. Having good thoughts is a manifestation of strong faith. Eventually, strong faith will make it easier for someone to bear heavy burdens. In the name of Allah, placing trust in Him.
