Friday (الجمعة) is one of the special days for us as a moslem. There are bunch of merits for moeslem if they want to pray and giving alms. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ once said:

رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ ذَكَرَ يَوْمَ الجُمُعَةِ، فَقَالَ: فِيه سَاعَةٌ لا يُوَافِقها عَبْدٌ مُسلِمٌ، وَهُو قَائِمٌ يُصَلِّي يسأَلُ اللَّه شَيْئًا، إِلاَّ أَعْطَاهُ إِيَّاه. أبي هريرة رضي الله عنه

“Friday is one of the efficacious day when moeslem pray and begging to Allah, Allah will grant the will. Muhammad once hinted with his hand about the least of the friday time opportunity” (Abu Hurairah RA).

From the tale of Adam and Hawa, Friday is the day of their first meeting since they were expelled from heaven. When moslem praise shalawat to The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, he will reply it ten times. Thus Friday in Islam usually called as Blessed Friday or جمعة مباركة.
