Learning from Frogs and Lizards

Do good for Allah according to the size of your will and your intention (meaning the greater the intention and the will the greater the reward that he gets even though his deeds are small) because the value of the reward from Allah is according to the size of his intention, not according to the size of his deeds, because God already has a lot of good deeds. If one of Allah’s angels out of the many angels is created in a state of bowing before the creation of the world until the Day of Judgment, some are created in a state of prostration, some are always doing dhikr and all of them are given pleasure by Allah for this practice, as we already know about the matter. angels, then what is the meaning of your practice when compared to all that? none other than the measure of your charity is the intention, not the work.

Allah was pleased with the frog when it tried to extinguish the fire of Namrudz when it burned Prophet Ibrahim AS by carrying water in his mouth to be sprayed on the fire. At that time he was asked, “Are you able to extinguish the fire of Namrudz with the water in your mouth?”. He replied that this is the level of my ability. With that, the Shari’a prohibits killing frogs. Likewise, when a lizard tries to ignite the fire of Namrudz with a small blow of its mouth, it is asked; “Are you able to ignite the fire of Namrudz with your blows, he replied, at least I have shown hatred for Ibrahim and am happy with Namrudz’s efforts even though my blows are meaningless. So Allah was so angry that lizards were prescribed to be killed. (quoted from the Book of Tatsbitul Fuad)
