World Life, Deceiving Pleasure

The Qur’an has warned mankind that the life of this world is just a deceptive pleasure. So the Qur’an warns people not to be absorbed in the pleasures of this world.

This is explained in Surah Ali Imran Verse 185 and its commentary.

Every living thing will taste death. And only on the Day of Resurrection will you be fully rewarded. Whoever is kept from hell and put into heaven, indeed, he has won. The life of the world is just a deceptive pleasure. (Surat Ali Imran: 185)

In the explanation of the Interpretation of the Ministry of Religion, this verse explains, every soul will taste death and on the Day of Resurrection will be perfected their respective replies. Those who are good are rewarded with good, namely heaven. Those who are bad will be rewarded with a bad one, namely hell.

This is in accordance with the words of the Prophet Muhammad, “The grave is a garden from the gardens of heaven or an abyss from the abyss of hell.” (HR At-Tirmidhi and At-Thabrani).

Whoever is kept from hell and put into heaven, he is the one who is happy. To achieve that happiness, then pay attention to the words of the Prophet SAW.

“Whoever wants to be kept away from hell and put into heaven, let him die believing in Allah and the hereafter, and so that he treats people as he likes what people do to him.” (Narrated by Imam Ahmad).

Life in this world is nothing but deceptive pleasure. The pleasures felt in this world in the form of food, drink, rank, position and so on, in general they all deceive humans. He thought that was happiness, so humans drowned because they were engrossed in the pleasures of the world.

Whereas if humans are not good at using it, then the pleasure will be a disaster that causes loss in this world and in the hereafter will get a painful punishment.
