The Prophet Last Hajj: Wada’ Hajj Story Part 1

The task of preaching, delivering treatises, building a new society has been completed on the basis of affirming Allah’s uluhiyah and getting rid of uluhiyah other than Him. It was as if there were soft whispers that spread through the heart of the Prophet Muhammad, who reported that his existence in this world was nearing its final stage. So when he sent Mu’adz bin Jabal to Yemen in the year 10 H, he said to him, “O Mu’adh, maybe you will not see me again after this year, and maybe you will pass by my mosque and my grave.” Immediately, Mu’adz burst into tears because he was afraid that he would be separated from the Messenger of Allah.

Allah has willed that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) could witness the fruit of his preaching, which in order to make it happen he had to face various kinds of obstacles and obstacles for more than twenty years. Various Arab tribes and their inhabitants gathered in Mecca, ready to implement Islamic law and its laws, testify to carry out the mandate, deliver messages and give advice to all mankind.

Rasulullah SAW announced his intention to perform the Mabrur Hajj. So people came in droves to Medina, all of whom wanted to follow him. On Saturday four days before the end of the month of Dhul Qa’dah, he packed up to leave, with his travel provisions, oily and wearing a coat. After Dhuhur he left until he arrived at Dhul Hulaifah before the Asr prayer. He did Asr prayer there and remained there until the next day. Early in the morning he said to his companions, “Last night I was visited by a messenger from my Lord who said, ‘Pray in this blessed valley, and say, ‘Umrah and Hajj.'”

Before the Dhuhur prayer he took a bath for the intention of Ihram. Then Aisyah sprinkled perfume on his body and head, until the drops of perfume seemed to melt in his hair and beard. Drops of perfume were left alone and not washed away. After that he put on a coat and scarf. The Dhuhur prayer is performed two rak’ahs, then reads the talbiyah for Hajj and Umrah at that place, reads sequentially between the two, then moves to arrears Al-Qashwa ‘.

He continued his journey until he approached Mecca, stopped for a while at Dzu Thuwa ‘, then entered Mecca after establishing the Fajr prayer and taking a bath in the morning on Monday 4th Dzulhijjah 10 H. The journey was taken for 8 days, which means at a moderate pace. After entering the Grand Mosque, he immediately performed tawaf around the Ka’bah, then followed by sa’i between Safa and Marwah without being obedient, because he intended to perform the qiran pilgrimage. Then he settled on the hill of Makkah in Al-Hujjun and did not perform Tawaf except Tawaf for Hajj.

For friends who do not have a sacrificial animal, they are ordered to make their ihram as Umrah, then they perform tawaf around the Ka’bah and followed by sa’i between Safa and Marwah, then complete tahallul. It seemed that they were still hesitating to do it, but in the end they complied and did it.
